The canvas is the live, editable document that captures the output of your session. Once you approve the AI’s plan, your document is generated and opens in the canvas alongside the chat. It updates as you work and can be edited directly or through conversation.

Edit in the canvas

Edit directly in the canvas using standard formatting — headings, lists, bold, italic, and more. You can also give instructions through chat and the AI will make the edits for you. Both approaches update the same document. Undo and redo are fully supported.
